Template structure

CPSC says the bulk-upload template is the starting point for CSV imports and that its column names should not be changed except when adding additional laboratories. The template is provided as Excel and then saved as CSV for Product Registry upload.
This validator intentionally does not offer column mapping. If the file is not in CPSC's layout, it reports the structural problem instead of trying to guess what your columns mean.

Which file should I select?
Use the CSV you created from the current official CPSC bulk-upload template. CPSC provides the template as an Excel file; after entering your certificate data, save it as CSV and select that CSV here.
Does this page upload my CSV?
No. The browser reads the file locally and runs the checks on your device. This page does not send the CSV contents to ShippingPaperwork.com.
Does “No errors found” guarantee CPSC will accept it?
No. It means this validator did not find one of the structure, format, length or conditional-rule errors it checks. The Product Registry remains the final validator.
Why are commas inside values reported as errors?
CPSC's CSV Upload Guide V3 instructs users to remove commas from certificate data because commas can cause errors during Product Registry upload.
Does it validate CPSC citation and testing-exclusion codes?
It checks that required citation-code fields are populated, but it does not try to reproduce CPSC's current citation/testing-exclusion code database. CPSC can apply those code validations during import.
