1,728 cubic inches is the key threshold.

USPS Postal Explorer currently states that listed low-density parcels exceeding 1 cubic foot use the greater of actual or dimensional weight under the applicable rule. For rectangular parcels, measurements are rounded up as required, multiplied, then a result above 1,728 in³ is divided by 139 and rounded up to the next whole pound.
